LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Muhammad Ali is hospitalized in the Phoenix area with what two people familiar with his condition say may be more serious problems than his previous hospital stays.

The 74-year-old boxing great is fighting respiratory issues that are complicated by the Parkinson's that he was diagnosed with in the 1980s, the people told The Associated Press on Thursday.

Well, this wasn't Lonnie's son, so not sure what the backstory is to what was going on after she got involved with Ali.

If you see the image of her when she was reported to be 6 in a photo with Ali (he was reported to be 21), it seems like a union that would never had been considered. The stories from the son and others (all hearsay of course) didn't really shine a pleasing image about how the family doings around Ali changed due to the new relationship.

Yes, this is common in second marriages. The new spouse becomes the primary beneficiary, then the natural children of the deceased lose their birthright inheritance, unless very precise instructions have been made. And, usually they are not, because the wealthy one is smitten by the new spouse. Then the new spouse's children/family inherit the deceased's assets. To me that is unfair. Like in this case, Lonnie seems to have plotted this all along.

I would bet that Ali trusted Lonnie to do right by his children, because he loved and trusted her so much.

Off topic: Michael Jackson's assets are going to go to a bunch of white folks

    *smh*
