DOES ANYBODY KNOW
ANYBODY AT ALL

Shared things
That was not reality at all

IS LEAVING, A SHIELD?

Before hurt, hurt first
If stayed things would be worse

THE MORE LEFT
THE LESS TO LOOSE.

Run away, cover up
The lacking heart does not hold.

The time parted
Would have passed anyway
Not dependent on circumstance
Or the gifts that were gave

In the early times
Those were shared

There was trust
Thought so
In the way behaved
In the minutes
Every moment

Does anybody get to know anybody ever?
Knowing anybody any more

So it is a shield
That lives within
Revealed after leaving

Like normal always do

Isn’t it the more left?
The more lost

DOES ANYBODY KNOW
ANYBODY AT ALL

Shared things
That was not reality at all

IS LEAVING, A SHIELD?

Before hurt, hurt first
If stayed things would be worse

THE MORE LEFT
THE LESS TO LOOSE.

Run away, cover up
The lacking heart does not hold.

The time parted
Would have passed anyway
Not dependent on circumstance
Or the gifts that were gave

In the early times
Those were shared

There was trust
Thought so
In the way behaved
In the minutes
Every moment

Does anybody get to know anybody ever?
Knowing anybody any more

So it is a shield
That lives within
Revealed after leaving

Like normal always do

Isn’t it the more left?
The more lost

Whoaa, the title alone...just grabbed me, it's deep and holds true, kinda make ya think twice...or even a third time in todays whirl, if we do really know, who we know.

Do we really know, the people in our lives.
Change is inevitable, expected

Change should be welcomed, it is growth
Hopefully they change and grow in such a manner they
Don’t exclude those who care about them

Ranging from a relationship
Break-ups, to a dissolved marriage

One tries to understand another, and listen and learn
Support and compromise, to giving all the
Thoughtfulness, and care possible.

But there are sometimes shields and walls they have
About them and this complicates the relations.

Sometimes a better understanding comes after they are gone.

interesting.

i'm writing this chapter in an upcoming novel, that says, "get to know me."...about starting relationships...instructing potential mates to know more about the other person than a name and a place of employment. in the end, a better question is, "are we allowed to know anyone, any more?" people have become so guarded that we can be with someone for years before we let our walls down long enough for our mates to learn even the smallest things about us...because of the possibility of getting hurt. DON'T THEY KNOW THAT THE PAIN WILL COME REGARDLESS...IF THE RELATIONSHIP ENDS. BY BEING OPEN, at least we won't have to say, MAYBE I SHOULD'A...

do yo' thang, HODEE.
