    This is extremely commendable.

It's interesting how white 'Western' culture is always credited with being the most advanced in terms of feminism, but none have gone so far as to take action such as this. In fact, I can't even believe anybody would 'criticize' such a move!

But anyway, this is what feminism SHOULD be about; men respecting women as human beings not sexual objects.

I'm not sure white culture has ever REALLY been more advanced in terms of feminism....especially since it's been leading the world in pushing misogynistic messages now for centuries. I mean, honestly--and sadly, 50 percent of why misogyny exists is because of female tolerance and perpetuation.....so WE have a responsibility as well. I will have to say I give this man EXTRA props for having character enough to use his leadership position in such a very progressive way instead of caving to negative social pressure. Again...KUDOS!!!!!!!

I support the banning of these songs also.

But I'm confused on exactly what type of songs are these.

Are they native traditional songs or imported rap music?

    Agreed!

Indeed it has not sister Blaklioness. The feminist movement was created by white women to liberate themselves from the oppressive & restrictive control of the white man! Too many people overlook that. White/European cultural has always been misogynistic, while many African societies are actually matrilineal. The black female has always been important in African culture, despite popular opinion.
