Blades of grass,
taller than I,
as I scramble
through twisting
vines.

I see no light.
I hear no voices
other than my
own.

All around me,
I sense
no signs
of life.

As I near
the edge
of this field
of grass,
I see
a vision of myself
gazing through.

I reach out
and try to grasp
some part of me,
but all I hold
is an empty shell
of where my soul
used to be.

Still, I go on
cause I know
this time, I will find
another part of me
to make my soul complete.
