Yea Angola is booming, I lived there almost for a year last year in 2011, very rich beautiful welcoming country..I actually played professional sports there. Lived in Luanda. Portuguese is the main spoken language only in places like Huambo or eastern inter Angola you will hear African languages all the Angolans look down on the african languages although they do have it on TV. I could write a book about it
Pro's
Angola is rich in oil, arable land, natural gas, resources of all type. It has the 16th largest argo potential in the world and 1650km coastline of beach aka tourist development. the population is 45% under 15 so very young it is a 100 billion dollar + economy and growing at 10% plus each year since 2002 after the civil war ended.
Con's
Although the MPLA is a liberation movement is has turn itself in to a business movement and it listens to money now more than anything although the hardline pan-african's have been sideline..if you want to do business there the elites control the economy and they don't share all the cake. Angolans the vast majority still live in squaller, (sqaulor) while a rich clique of elites enjoy life..and i'm talking about Mansions,Ferrari's, $100 meals the good life.
I'm an African American I'M JUST giving the objective look. I love Angola and will probably move there in the future..if you decide to visit the Visa system is the worst in Africa very controlled..l they don't let you in unless they know you due to the war.
I will stop there hopefully somebody will reply
