From the first time I saw you I counted all your fingers and your toes.
I waited for your first kick.
I watch every part of you as it grows.
When the doctor said it’s a girl I knew you would be my world.
Even though you kick and scream.
You are my wildest dream.
And when I have to chastise you I know it is best.
In any situation I put you above the rest.
Your cute little nose how it wrinkles when you cry,
And when you pout you lips a tear comes to my eye.
I know you are not perfect, but to me you always were.
Soon someday I know he’ll say I want to marry her.
So I’ll give you my blessings and wish you well.
Hoping that in no endeavor you will fail.
If I live to see your kids I hope that I can tell.
The day I praised god for lending me an angel.
