"Ancient Dust" Say's Don't Run Scream
    Let A Black Man Speak

    By Jacqueline Amos

The Nile refuse to calm, A spoken pride,
Conscience of my tribe, Navigating winds,
disable my legacy, As I ponder the sky's,
Illumination, a quality, Never tarnish, my throne.

Strangers in my house, listen as the wind roars,
    Clouds, hidden behind the storm.
The birth of words, Misery that sings beneath,
my legacy, restless, beneath the darkness,
    turning over, and over,
    sleepless, who is the stranger?
Who lives in my house? Displays,
    instrument of carnal freedom,
defiling my church, I never died.

    Portrayed as the walking dead,
    Who's there in my house?,
    emotional extremist, I rise,
Who is that living in my house?

Amidst dreams, subsiding to savor momentary,
Lest we forget, The Ancient Dust,
my temple, faith of a child, legacy of a caring heart,
Confessions of a soul, Show me thy hand?
By word of soul, Who is the stranger,
    who sleeps in my house?

    Men who live of existent,
    mankind, darkness that lifeline.
    Self-defeating, emotional, extremist,
abandon by the seed, that wears,
    my robe of honor. Self-defeating,
    Dare savior momentary,
Who is it that set’s upon my throne?

    Confessions of the soul,
    who dis-honor my robe.
Call of the spirit. City beyond, the dark.
By words of soul, Show me the Prophet.
Beyond the title of faith, born again,
control of desires, My stroll reads,
    legacy of the Ancient Dust.
I the Black Man Reclaim my stool.

    Remove yourself from my throne?
Whom is the stranger that lives beyond my doors,
Self hatred, the blood is marked,
above my family tree, The highest King has ordained,
Sing the song of glory, take of the mask,
    Wearing the warriors colors,
    looking for leaders, cowards,
refuse to lead self, Remove your self?

Lonely within, the value of meditation,
free you’re self; remove your self,
    from my throne? Extermination,
Destruction of a reproduction, See a self.
    Deception, evil shall never,
enter my holy grounds, of God's love,

Universe on my back, I live,
heir’s no zombies in my tomb.
    Man's dis-respect, for all creations,
cries aloud, the voices, as they cried,
    out loud. Be still, listen.

Perhaps you will hear, the many deaths of all creations,
    by your hands. Greed, selfishness,
mans in humanity, to man. Mental Genocide,
Let me be free, I Ancient Dust of my legacy,
    Self-defeating, abandon thy throne,
which sits upon my throne. Freedom foes,
will feel the night, the strength, I ancient dust,
Censorious slavery, will no longer be in my house,
Beware of the snake, who licks your hands.

    A Carnivorous, like of dignity,
    respect my words of humanity,
the legions will not hide, beneath my throne.
Illogicality intimated by the words of God.
Diversity of the carcasses pits that lay.
Beyond my door, Casting out truth,
hiding behind the cloak of humanity,
Shackles of truth, Which are those,
    who dare sit in judgment.

The walking dead, without a head,
greed that leads him, to his own death,
Which is the stranger who lives in my house?
Begun, I Ancient dust, I reclaim my throne.
Evil shall never live in my house.
