It's strange for me to notice the Mammonism (love of money) in modern African-in-America music, because when I was first exposed to these songs, I plain didn't pick up on it.

Here's "No Scrubs"--upon listening to the lyrics, I found out why I'm hard to get a date "Scrubs" are simply guys without money.
