    Waves crashing
how ever many knots we travelled
in the bowels of wooden vessels
we got here / not with the comfort
of Carribean Cruise lines / we
were tossed over board 'cause the
    weight was "too heavy"
now too many brothers and sisters think that
their "brothers and sisters are too heavy"
and refuse to extend a hand and pull them along
    on this journey and many
wonder why we're in last place
    bottom rung

we hit these shores and placed on auction blocks
    and sold
now brothers are lottery picks and walk to
podium blocks to smile and are
    sold

our sisters were raped by the massuh and their
    soul was stole
now sisters images are raped by brothers with
album covers and with the help
of *** shaking women / sisters
    souls are stole

brothers toiled in the fields 'til the bell rang
and the last cotton was picked
now brothers toil on the court 'til the
last buzzer sounds and the last jump
shot falls through the cotton net

massuh forced these brothers to not trust their own
these ballplayers have white agents that tell them don't
    trust their own

Waves crashing how ever many knots/
we travelled in the bowels of wooden vessels/
not in the comfort of Carribean cruise lines
we were tossed overboard cause the weight
was too heavy now many brothers and sisters
think that their "brothers and sisters"
are too heavy and refuse to extend a hand to pull them
    along on this journey
and many wonder why we're in last place

brothers in the hood vy for hangtime on courts
to make it to podium blocks to support family
but have to be pimped in college first and are
banned if they take a paid flight to see their family
thus impeding their progress for hangtime
to make it to podium blocks to support their family

    brothers got/get hangtime on trees
and were/are cheered by demented fans
and their days to see family is permanently
    banned

    **** Blak...

    POWERFUL.

maybe there should be an e-mail connection device connected to all the bruthaz and sistahz across the lands...maybe this will make them understand the price that's been paid for their lazy hay dayz...while they're trying to get paid...and not thinking about the rest.

keep the analogies flowing Blak...many of us need to hear them.
