    An Innocent HELLO.

HELLO, I said, to a sister on the street
Threw up her nose…like I was a leech
    It’s just an innocent HELLO
Wasn’t trying to get in yo’ clothes

    Said, Yo’
Why you gotta treat a brutha like this
    All hostile and rude
    You gotta relax, sis
    I get this
Most in yo’ neighborhood are rude
Bruthaz be coming at ya…disrespectful and crude
But why group me in with the hoodlums and thugs
You think ALL bruthaz be slanging them drugs
Calling our Queens skank hoes and *******
    Dispatching semen with the quickness
    …instead of the riches

    Ho…ho…hold up
Can’t you see that’s not me
    Not just a handsome face
My well-water runs deep, ya see

    This ain’t no day-2-day hustle
On the corner of “Stone” and “High”
Based on the word of another
Where every other word’s a lie

    I’m able to stand correct
    With my ed-u-ma-cated ***
Established my house on solid ground
I know my **** will last

Don’t call me the world’s worst
When you know nothing ‘bout me
Got yo’ panties in a bunch
    Like saying hello is costly

    It’s just an innocent HELLO.

    Hi Mr. Man,
I feel you, sometimes a person can be surrounded by the same type of ppl running the same type of game, so they don't even want to go there. But then they run the risk of being way off base when someone real comes pass.

    Enjoyed the read!

unfortunately, too many people are judged based on the misbehavior of others...leaving some to wonder why (those mistreated women) are so rude. i get it...i just don't know why i have to.

THANKS for dropping by, my SOulDEEP friend.

A few years back. My daughter , her BFF and my wife were with me. We were heading to a Halloween party thrown every year. we were staying at a hotel a few miles from my friends home. I had called the cab, and went down to wait... as my family entered the lobby, a black lady came around the corner in the lobby, heading out where I was at the door. She was on crutches, looked like she had been either in a car accident, or badly beaten up. My wife and daughter were behind her coming. I opened the door. This lady started cursing me out. " I dont want you to hold the door open for me!" I dont need you. :flaming: :garbage:
I let the door go. she came out, i reopened the door my wife and daughter came out. looked at me and i said. she acted like I wanted to get with her. They laugh to this day.. They as women could not believe what they saw take place. They had never seen or even heard me share. That was not the first time, a black lady scolded me for saying hello, opening a door ( if I have my hand on the door knob. i have to open it, i'm either coming in or going out. when it happened at doors to buildings she happened to be doing one or the other too. I got the handle first) or just being nice saying hello.. and being me. It was funny as hell. Like I said.. They still laugh everytime they hear me bring up that night. Usually when it happened to me.. not one was there to pick me up from being beaten down or cursed out ( what you want? ) for being a noice guy.

unfortunately, (stuff) happens in this age of equality...and some people don't know how to handle it, graciously. I've had similar occurrences at doors...and it makes you wonder if they think you've just been sitting there, waiting for them, so you can open the door. like you're obsessed with them, or something. anyway, thanks for stopping by, HODEE.
