Someone posted a post saying that America was never great. I have to disagree. America was at one time great. There were no laws, no prisons, very low crime rate, women were equal with men and in some tribes even had more say than men. There were no poor and there were no rich. Everyone was equal and when someone was to old or injured to take care of themselves their tribe would take care of them but then the European Invasion arrived and they stole the land that the people took care of. Before Europeans came there was no pollution but they had polluted their countries. Now look at the country now. Yes America was great at one time but then at that time this country was called Turtle Island so you could be right in that America was never great but this country was great before it became America. OK! I am finished thinking out loud.

We called it Turtle Island. Many still do. I know some who refuse to call this country America. They still call it Turtle Island.

Yeah White Man's America has never been great but it was before Europeans came here. If they had listened to our ancestors we would have less pollution, less crime and more unity. We never were a racist people. As a matter of fact some of my ancestors bought slaves. The difference is that they treated them like family. They didn't beat them or work them to death. Many were adopted into the families. I don't know if you have heard of the Freedmen. They were slaves to the Cherokee and were treated very well. The reason many were bought is because they knew how The European slave owners treated their slaves. Our women decided what the Freedmen did and like I said they treated them well saving them from being tortured by Euro-Americans (The same ones that destroyed this once great country.
