On July 4, Amazon spammed its customers with advertisement of Norman Finkelstein's virulently anti-Semitic book, Image and Reality of the Israeli-Palestine Conflict. On May 30, Amazon similarly advertised Beyond Chutzpah: on the Misuse of Anti-Semitism and the Abuse of History. I have never received any other ad from Amazon.

On April 4, in an unprecedented move, Amazon deleted all reviews of Obadiah Shoher's Samson Blinded: A Machiavellian Perspective on the Middle East Conflict. A few days later, Amazon forced its subsidiary Booksurge to terminate publishing contract with Shoher whose book is now available for download from www.samsonblinded.info . Google earlier banned advertising of the Samson Blinded for "unacceptable content." Shoher, indeed, is pro-Israeli, yet realistic and critical of Israeli policies.

Obadiah Shoher, an anonymous politician, abandons myths and moralizing in favor of realpolitik. He argues for raw efficiency of antiterrorist operations and shedding liberal idealism. Shoher asks inconvenient questions and gives honest answers. Amazon does not like that. Anti-Semitic lampoons by Norman Finkelstein are more to Amazon's taste.

Anti-Semetic is one thing. Opposition to zionist occupation, invasion and state terrorism is another. its about time that some folks take a stand against zionist control over the us corporate media and present viewpoints other than the zionist propaganda media projections.

Any time a book about the Palestinian-Israel conflict written by a Jew is labeled "anti-semitic," then there's a pretty good chance that it discusses the oppressive and genocidal actions of the Israeli government against the Palestinians.

In a nutshell, in 1948, the Israelis, having declared the country formerly known as Palestine to be the "Promised Land" (biblical stuff), went on a killing spree, took the land from the Palestinians, and renamed it "Israel" with Amerikkkan and British support (pretty much what white folks have done to non-whites throughout the past 500 years or so in various parts of the world). During this period a teen ager by the name of Yasser Arafat saw his parents murdered in cold blood and was vilified by the western propaganda machine for fighting to get the land back. Those are inconvenient facts of history that those who throw the label "anti-semitic" around don't want people to know.

Palestinians and other Arab peoples who respond to Israeli violence with violence of their own are called "terrorists" by the mainstream media.

Morally speaking, it's no different from someone declaring that your car belongs to them, putting a gun to your head and taking it from you, then demanding that you recognize their right to own your car. Imagine being called a thug for refusing to cooperate with the thief and using force to try get back what's rightfully yours. That pretty much sums up what's going on over there.

There's quite a bit of stuff on the internet about Zionism, so it's best to do a search. A definition of Zionism from the Palestinian point of view can be found at http://www.albalagh.net/current_affairs/zionism_racism.shtml
