Amazing Grace! How I am glad it abounds

And that it saw fit to reach down and cover me

For I was truly heavy-laden till salvation was found

But now through grace and mercy I am able to see.

Although this thorn in my side is consistent

Grace has been more than enough to keep me

Enabling me to be ever humble and persistent

Forcing me to daily call on the Almighty

Through and through whether up or down

Grace has keep me standing without a doubt

Never allowing me to stay under and drown

Covering me, giving me time to straighten out

Thank you Lord, grace and mercy stepped in

For I truly was unfit to live but too scared to die

Yet they came in and rescued me in the nick of time

Cleaning me up leaving no evidence of where I been.

I've come out of fire without even a hint of smoke

Weathered many storms but never been drenched

Swum against the tides with no loss of stroke

Thank God within Grace I am entrenched.

Well poetess, it seems you've been brought over from under, and I say amen to that, God is good. What a wonderful testimony.
