The below link takes you to a case study - a wife (a neonatal doctor) who documented the changes in her husband (an accountant), who is suffering the degenerative neurological disease, Alzheimer's. Her home treatment - MCT oil - found in coconut oil. @ 7 teaspoons a day the results are interesting to say the least... here her husband is asked to draw a clock (a common test with Alzheimer's)

    Yeah, the results are amazing...

I wonder if in regions where coconut oil is abundant and is abosrbed through the diet, do the people not show signs of Alzheimer's what so ever?

Something I am going to look into....

On my fathers side of the family, my grandmother suffered with Alzheimer's during her last years of life. On my mothers side, my grandmother suffered with Dimentia during her last 4 years of life. Not sure what the difference between the two are although I could see the difference. Just not sure about the difference between the two in how they affect the brain.

Yes - the article speaks of the possible effects of MCT oil and ketoacids on other illnesses such as Parkinson's, Huntingon's, multiple sclerosis, Lou Gehrig's disease and types of epilepsy and diabetes.

I certainly would try it out - it's a natural treatment, which generally means it will not be examined too closely as it doesn't make $$ until they put it in a capsule ;)

ummm.. I might start early treatment myself ;)
