Let me set this up. when I was on this AM at 8:15 CDT I just happened to look at the page and notice all these smooth titles to pieces. I decided to use them all to create a piece (i Hope ya'll don't mind me using your titles). I feel that the majority of the time the mood for a piece is set by the title...I guess for me it's like a poetic "turn-on" (ain't that some freaky sounding stuff). Anyway here goes nothing.

All The Poets Titles: A Story

when are we gone get past the point
where brothers and sisters are not on the
Outside Looking In ready to use their
Full Mental Jackets? When are we going
to fix the system so that no more people
become Separated At Verse and stay
connected with their voices so they can be heard

And I told a group the other day that a person's
voice needs to be heard to prevent frustration
and volatile situations...we need to stop walking
around in a Perpetual Motion Coma
to combat the ignorance that may come our way
so let us all sit down Around Madelyn's Table
and discuss why Little brown children need to
learn how to Read and become Writers
in the Hood so the future will be heard

Before we discuss anything let's make sure everyone
    is in attendance,

okay destee our moderator is in the house
along with Da Street So'ja, N2urSoul, and blakverb.
alyce, "hey girl good to see you" and cocobutterskyn,
    $$RICH$$, j'hiah, shaneak, Amun-Ra, klabarron, Mr. Marion
and dnommo. Hmmm, MsBerry_98, MsDlite, MusiQal-Notes,
    MADDRAPPER, romusthepoet "welcome back brother",
and WindWalker. GQ, and...hold up where's GA SunShyne,
    Bishop, Watcher, Hunter, Aminata, UbZorbShun
,poectidelight, Cindy and the other 400 or so
residents? Oh well, uh...$$RICH$$ since you are flying high above
give those that aren't in attendance the info

Everybody grab a Pen, Paper and your
Imagination sort of like a personal 3Some
and let's solve the problems of the ghetto.
There's an Exotic Scent that if sprayed can
cure A Poet's Pain, maybe that can help
the masses since poets are the centers of all feelings.
Maybe j'hiah if you can write some Sacred Love Poetry for
    your queen
then she can spread her happiness
across the lands so that when The Rain Pours
love, hope, and faith will bloom creating a beautiful
    garden. dnommo that's your responsibility.

See We All Die! if any of our sheep are
left in the pasture...alone...like the little girl
around the corner she said She Cries Alone At Night
cause nobody in her house listens...**** shame...but
things like this are old hat in this Ghetto Coliseum.
We poets must remember that within us is The
    African Spirit
, it will guide us through these rough
times and for those that don't understand let's
put them In The Skin Of A Blak Man so they can
    feel us.

Let's create a New Love and make sure it hits
all corners and alleys. We need to make sure there's even
Love In Da Valley and on every mountaintop.
hey we can market the new slogan "New Love from destee"
print it on t-shirts and hats, even have Printed Panties!
We can do this my fellow poets! Let our souls Transcend
this new way to feel. Send postcards to Mr. and Mrs.
    Anonymous
if they want to just view and not reply.
But see what love does is open you up and after awhile
we'll all be on the Same Page.

So hit the High Keys On The Piano and let's sing an
Ode To He, the divine one. Let's sing to him
in our own verse The Me that I Am a destee
remix the Lord will understand. Let the Creative OOOO
    ZZZZZeee
out your bodies and sing to the highest high!
Talk to the Lord tell him, "Lord You Move Me!"
and be moved by his response, pain in the ghetto
    will subside.

So hit the corners and curbs with your verse people
inflect your message during this mess age from the
soles of your feet to the top of church steeples.
Bring The Stuff don't hold back Love has no limits.
Tell all that feel you and hear that internal voice talking to them
that they are not suffering from some Dissociative Disorder
that's the Lord speaking to them.

Tell it from Cali to the Latin Palace tell folks
you write out of love not malice. the feeling
you get when you see that smile will be incredible,
you will say "Blakverb, The Best Gift I Received Yesterday
was a smile from someone who didn't believe in the power
of poetry until it hit him and he cried"

In the Ghetto Coliseum people do Slow Dances InThe Dark
that erodes the soul there N2 and they need all of you.
all of your words your love your spirit you optimism...So
Back To Work when the sun rises again. It's okay,
Being Different that is, to use your own vibe
your own scribe to convey this message.

And fellas if that Devil In A Red Dress comes
sashaying your way don't submit it's a trick to
prevent the message use Reason With Imagination
    when making decisions.

That's it poets go spread your beautiful words. Before I go
I must say Happy Birthday DymePlaya2G!!!

huh?!....Who Am I?!, Just Who The Hell Is So'ja??
somebody help that new cat in the back. We been here for
one long year and that new jack asked that. I'm 'bout to go
    have me
some Gin In My Bathtub. Peace.

    Kings and Queens of destee,

One year...wow...time sure flies...I appreciate all that you say and definitely what you write, it inspires me. I pray that waht I write does the same for you. The new year brings new things new scribes, new styles, new vibes, new family members. keep holding the torch high and remember: a poet/writer NEVER has writers block, if you're totally dedicated to your craft. I don't say that as a matter of disrespect to anyone just as a matter of fact. the world has too many things to offer as opportunites to write. Look out your window the subject matter is right there in front of you. no matter how mundane some things you see may seem.

    peace, love, respect
