Black Poetry : All Day Sunday At The Movies

...>fades in>

Alyce, this is the spark that ignites the flame of passion in many a romantic heart. You have constructed a heartfelt examination of celluloid love and lost and how it affects the way we view or see or even allow ourself to feel love and to love. Only to cast it aside and rewrite it in your own words, shape it, and mold it to fit your own soul; your own desires of what love should be for you as an individiual. Then you end it with "like in the movies", thereby bringing us full circle.

As always, very lovely. And although I love the entire poem, this stanza alone is my favorite:
"i love you
like juliette never dreamed of loving romeo
more than cleopatra loved marc antony
beyond josephine's devotion to napoleon
stronger than anne bolyn loved henry VIII,
knowing he was gonna kill her ***...."

Now that is some passionate, powerful, love.

Who said romance was dead?
