Hmmm, sad that this great, great, great female jazz musician, the wife of one of jazz great revolutionaries, dies, and only ONE individual at this discussion site recognizes and pays tribute to her life and work. Brother Omowale, her Blue Nile with Pharoah and Rashied Ali - elegant spiritual music is what this lady specialized in. She was as incredible as she seems to have been obscure to most. Thank you for paying homage to her, brother.

I'll have to check her out. I'm 23 and never heard of her, however I'm assuming that she was married to John Coltrane? Thanks for posting this up here. I sing jazz and love to get nice orignial sounds. Everything sounds alike these days.
