for a friend...

I see a small alabaster box
Sitting the edge of dreams
Awaiting the one who can
Unlock the wonders within;

I see you entering this room
Seeking a quiet place to rest
And wait to discover a seat
Appear across from the dreams;

I picture you resting patiently
Curious about the beauty of
The box and wondering how
To open it without the key;

I see you writing your thoughts
As you await the key and allow
The emotion laden pages to fall
into a pile beneath your feet;

Every once in a while you look
To the box awaiting for it to open
On its own for the key you seek
Has yet to appear within the dream;

And yet it was not until you looked
at the pen which you hold so dear,
That writes the thoughts of the day,
To notice its shape matches the hole;

I see you step forward and pick up
That small alabaster box and place
The pen into the lock turning it gently
Towards the left until there is a click;

And I smile as I see your face glow
With the joy of the opening of the
Box for what you discovered within
Is the pile of your written dreams;

As you take them one by one you find that
your hand scribed the pages yet written
across the front of each in big, bold
letters: “Blessed for a time such as this.”

I see you reach down to place the pages
Written today into the box only to find
The pages are gone and smile to see the
Pages within the box were written today;

I see you closing the small alabaster box,
Removing the pen and leaving the room
only to return tomorrow when your FATHER
calls you to spend time in HIS presence;

This I see in you...

...I come before you, and we greet each other in the way of the Eastern culture, heads down, bowing in all respect and honor.

Daily I come here to receive additional Inspired Word, after my morning meditations (my favorite: Bible.com)...
I am never disappointed ~ I come away twice blessed.

You honor me beyond all my imaginings. Your splendid use of the "alabaster box" for MY purpose; that precious gift of Mary of Magdala to our Lord, renders me speechless and full of tears. I am not worthy.

There is love in this place. There is healing. There is peace. There is wisdom flowing from inspired pens up in here. I am grateful to be among such fiercely gifted Poets.

Thank you dnommo, bless you

Alyce
