    :toast:

But for the record, this makes no sense:

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - In a final chapter to one of the most important civil rights episodes in American history, Alabama lawmakers voted Thursday to give posthumous pardons to the "Scottsboro Boys": nine black teens who were wrongly convicted of raping two white women more than 80 years ago.

About as much sense as awarding US citizenship to some foreign soldiers who fought in the US military posthumously ....

Okay, had a laugh:lol: ; to contribute to the thread I'll say, it seems as if it's just for their image. To make them look decent, maybe? Like, "Oh great! Even after death, you did them justice!" is what they expect everyone to say. Just a thought.

    For real ...

... if a foreigner is enlisted in the US military and dies "meritoriously", that solider may be awarded US citizenship posthumously.

Never understood what the point of that is ... now if his family or children received benefit from that, then that is different.

Lol! No worries, my humor is...out there. I just had the giggles; but still felt it necessary to contribute something afterwards.

    Nice thread!:)
