The word "technology" appears a total of 5 times on the site. 3 of them are used in the names of schools. It does not explain anything about technology.

Children have to deal with the future. How much has technology changed the world since 1900? In the future the people that don't know technology will be stuck at the bottom.

Both of these books are now free on the net.

These stories are from the early 60s and there is a third book to the trilogy that isn't available yet. But it is about Africa and Black Americans in Africa though it was written by a White man. The trilogy is about technology and cultural change but involves power games against Europeans and Americans.

Since the stories are so old there are a number of aspects missing from the current world situation like the fall of Russian Communism, the rise of Chinese psuedo-Communism, Peak Oil and Global Warming.

And of course there is the internet which makes the distribution of these books and vast amounts of other information possible be it correct or not.

Malcolm and Martin could have both read these back in the day. I wonder what they would have thought.

Thank you for your references. If the future of technology is of concern to you I am not sure why you say my site does not contain it.

There is a lot of information hee. including the California content standards for what children should be learning at a particular grade level. information from the writing center at CSLA for transitioning between high school and college writing, courses on learning, Chines, Swahili and Spanish, geography. It would take more than a minute to absorb the richness of the information found here.

Thanks sister River for sharing.

I believe in the need to emphasize math, science and technical educational standards. I also know that many of the students who I work with in the home schooling and tutorial program I am employed tend to have higher mathematical skills but have deficiencies in writing.

I know students who have advanced calculus ability but cant write a persuasive essay.

So major props on making writing a fundamental and major component of your program.

Brotha Omo,

It feels really good to know that what I am doing is actually helping people. And props to you for your work. Let me know how things work out.
