Not like them youngbloods,
full of energy and power,
but if you’ll give me a minute
I can promise you an hour.

I know that I’m getting on,
can’t keep up with the kids;
I may not get it on but once,
but I go long like I always did.

You can laugh if you want
but let me give you a little hunch,
If you want to ride the rollercoaster
you had better pack some lunch.

Don’t play me short on nothing,
you might find that you are wrong,
they say “Ra you sweat so easy”,
and I say “but I be sweatin’ long.”

When it’s all finally said and done,
come take a little ride in my car,
if I can’t cut the mustard anymore,
I know I still can lick the jar.
