    So we fell out cause of that.

    Losing time.

    Never kissed.

    Love sailing thru a mist.

    We parted.

    Going on as day passes.
    I see that you carried love away with you.
    If by chance we pass again.
    Then I'll ask you again my friend.

    How can we fall so far from the ledge we never had.

    The world is large.

    I may never see you in this life time again.
    If by chance that is the case.
    Heaven bring close again by fate.

    Together.

    With you.

    I will continue to blossum like no other.
    I sense you did the same.

    You didn't love another.
    He would only bring you shame.
    Sadness is all I saw him give to you.

    I promised.

    Oh I know I cared.

    But you weren't standing there.
    Your not miles.. away. Your here everyday.
    With me, by me.. and for me if I need you.
    Stolen moments only to meet in heaven again.

    I settle.

    Thanks $$RICH$$, Mzblkangel, and Gempis

    You all three are correct. It is a new style for me. I have been reading my favorite poet's work, and it took me places. If your not familiar.. read the works of Paul Lawrence Dunbar. I grew up with his poems being read to me.. and last night I spent an hour with his works.

    ============
    http://www.plethoreum.org/dunbar/

    Paul Laurence Dunbar was the first African-American to gain national eminence as a poet. Born in 1872 in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of ex-slaves and classmate to Orville Wright of aviation fame.
    Although he lived to be only 33 years old, Dunbar was prolific, writing short stories, novels, librettos, plays, songs and essays as well as the poetry for which he became well known. He was popular with black and white readers of his day, and his works are celebrated today by scholars and school children alike.

    ==========

    If I may.. I want to share two poems here by him...

    We Wear the Mask by Paul Lawrence Dunbar

    We wear the mask that grins and lies,

    It hides our cheeks and shades our eyes,--

    This debt we pay to human guile:

    With torn and bleeding hearts we smile,

    And mouth with myriad subtleties.

    Why should the world be over-wise,

    In counting all our tears and sighs?

    Nay, let them only see us, while

    We wear the mask.

    We smile but, O great Christ, our cries

    To thee from tortured souls arise.

    We sing, but oh the clay is vile

    Beneath our feet, and long the mile;

    But let the world dream other-wise,

    We wear the mask!

    =======================

    If.

    If life were but a dream, my Love,
    And death the waking time;
    If day had not a beam, my Love,
    And night had not a rhyme;
    A barren, barren world were this
    Without one saving gleam
    I'd only ask that with a kiss
    You'd wake me from the dream.

    If dreaming were the sum of days,
    And loving were the bane;
    If battling for a wreath of bays
    Could sooth a heart in pain;
    I'd scorn the meed of battle's might,
    All other aims above
    I'd choose the human's higher right,
    To suffer and to love!

    He is also one of my favorite poets.
    It's ironic that you chose one of my favorites:

    It is a powerful poem.. I know you agree. I was talking to my sister yesterday. She can verbatum. Quote you some Dunbar.

    She used to read.. nothing but Dunbar to me and my other brothers and isters.. I mean I remember sitting in awe as a child less than five. Asking everyday that she reads me another.

    I asked her to send me the book that has been in our family for over fifty years. The book is over 100 years old. I want to get it back into circulation.
