Firstly, I don't know where to post these pieces most times...

Secondly, this piece is in spanish, and I am not a great translator, though I know a little espanol... Nevertheless, I had to present it, because too little is presented of the African Puerto Rican community at this website... For the Brothers and sisters from the island of Puerto Rico, as well as the diaspora, Senora Malin Falu...

    Peace!

    Dr. Georgina Falu [Malin's sister]

    Jambo bros. Isaiah & Panafrica

    - Plenty of people don't realize that Dr. Georgina Falu is perhaps the only one in the island of Puerto Rico who has traced her African lineage to a village in Senegal. Her last name is unique in the island, belonging to one family. Before the tragic events of 911, both sisters arranged annual group pilmigrages to Senegal, Ghana, Elmina Castle & Goree Island.

    - Aside from all of her academic achievements, and under the tutelage of Dr. Yosef A.A ben-Jochannan [Dr. Ben] -- she was also able to find time to hold study groups in Spanish on old texts such as STOLEN LEGACY by George James, and others by Chiek Anta Diop. I had the honor to meet both sisters and her talented son at some of these meetings. A remarkable and extremely proud African Queeens -- the Falu Sisters. Malin Falu has worked on Spanish radio for more than 30 years in NYC, some have attributed her lack of television exposure to her skin color and African features [which by the way is true].

    PEACE
