    OH African king
Pride be the song u sing
In a harsh world of cruelty
Led to believe u are noone
    Forced to work two fold
    more than the average man.
But like the king that u are
    You perform your duties
With pride and faith in yourself

    Shunned and prejudged
because of your dark velvetty skin
    You have risen above the
suffering they've tried to mount on you
Gotten your strong hands in the earth
made your existence felt not ignored
They cant get rid of you
    They cant stop you
    Nor can they make you
For you know, that you too
are made in the image of the Almighty

You know that you are not worthy of this gift of life
So you toil and toil not for yourself but for your people
You give yourself up, to pave way for more African kings and queens to come
You are grateful for the life in you
The blood that runs through your veins
The love that the Lord has put in your soul
And this is why there is no hate in your heart for those who shun you
No No, there is but one love for one people
    The people of God

And forever you will be remembered by those after you.
