    ***** that
    I am an indigenous species
    To the U.S of f*cking A
Africa got’s no love for me
    So just call me black
    I gotz no momma
    I gotz no daddy
I gotz no lineage or heritage
    Just me
    Here and now
I do not believe for one second that
Pale Face came to Africa and captured me
    All of me
Naw somebody had me waiting there at the dock
    Tethered and tied
Just awaiting for that long *** ride
    So ***** Africa
They gotz no love for me
    Sold me into slavery
    So now its just me
Still trying to be free in this land off opportunity
    So just call me black
    Even though I am not
    Just call me black
    Cause n**er I am not
And African American I am not
    So just call me
    Black
    Even though I am brown
But nothing else explains that I originated from this ground
I am a new species and to this land and to this land I am bound
birthed in blood and shaped with hate
    So just call me black
Until a new more descriptive word for my self hating species
    Is found.
    JUST CALL ME BLACK

this is one of those things that just makes me cringe when I here it, I was watching –don’t tell nobody (Oprah) the other day and somebody referred to Blacks as Blacks and she corrected them and said African American, and I thinking to myself, I ain’t no more African then the white person she is trying to correct. In a nut shell All nations and nationalities are African something if you go back far enough, why we still trying to hold on to a lineage that we have no real contemporary ties to.

    shaz,

nice piece...but, I have a question if you are not african who are you? where do your roots embed themselves? actually , in and of itself "black" is only a color, a color is not concrete thus not tangible, can't be felt. And all of africa did not sell you short. those are just thoughts.

    respect

thanks for the read and to answear the questions I knew you would have (LOL)
Who are you? Is exactly the question that I pose
Where do my roots embed themselves? Exactly the question I pose
And the irony of the intangibleness of the color black better identifies my state of exile from my roots then to claim attachment to something that for hundreds of years has been systematically stripped away from me leaving me here and now but *** necked starting from less then scratch. And I would be a fool to have real contempt for Mother Africa this was simply an expression of my lack of lineage and an acceptance that Africa don’t particularly love me for I am a new breed not native to the Mother land. I am native American for this is where I began
