Harness this and we can begin to build a Black economy.....$1.1 Trillion Dollars is enough revenue to support a small country....
The report’s findings, which will be presented at the June conference of the National Association of Black Accountants Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, found that the African American population is an economic force to be reckoned with, with a projected buying power of $1.1 trillion by 2015.

As I stated previously, this is power if harnessed and utilized constructively to effect change....As for the slave mentality it is incumbent upon us to set the standard. Each one, Teach one. We reach those that we can....

If that number is correct, how much of that amount is discretionary spending.

without a will to cooperate those numbers are meaningless.. skin-color does not denote unity of purpose.. you may as well put some numbers up for tall people too.. Race does not equal community..

Thank you for sharing this information.

I am now wondering what power we have in this forum. What can we do with our money to make a difference?

Can we start our own versions of Shark Tank?

Should we take a deeper dive into the statistics to see what markets or companies need to put more money into the Black Community?

Do we need to educate each othe to redirect our spending power?

We can come together to get rid of places like the liquor stores. Or get rid of the over priced Beauty Supply stores. Most of the stuff in them does not even work on Black hair.

    What about better clothing stores?

Counseling Centers and Technical Training Centers that also does job placement.

How can we collectively make change happen?
