    Will give up living here?
    and give-up your cars, multi-channel t.v ,electricity
for, outdoor plumbing, hard-work,scarce food and corruption?
Africa's waiting would u go back?

you lift up your hand held high, saying what a proud black man u are
and that Africa holds your roots,Africa's waiting would u go back?

You say Africa is suffering very little to eat or drink,
will u give up your king-sized mars bars, qauter-pouders,
cookies the size of cd's and diet cokes,
Africa's waiting would u go back?

You hear the many african proverbs and wise sayings
here's one-Africa where the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor,
Africa's waiting would u go back?

Africa- once the cradle of life, Africa where family values still hold strong,
where soccer is the sport of kings, and a spectacular show of skill, africa where the upbeat tempo of music always leaves u in a good mood, Africa where ALL names sound normal and are easy to pronouce. Africa the motherland, would u go back?

No- I wouldn't. my African-ness is not determined by my physical location on this planet. I AM AFRICA. and no place or time can change that.

    JAH Love is ONE.

    Thought provoking scribe...Naja Man
Unfortunately, we often "romanticize" the idea
of our roots, culture and heritage...
but the true committment is variable...
    Excellent piece Brother...*homage*

    naija-man,
Great Flow on the Continent, the Mother Land......

    my answer:

    Africa
Has suffered the worst form of rape
and i don't wear no super hero cape
i can't go back to somewhere i've never been
But i can see from here the tremendous sin
My Mother Land has been put under
    So i wonder
Not if to the Land her lost children will return
But if we can make it back to her lost Glory that we yearn
And can we in our diaspora where ever it is we be
Return Africa back to her Glory and help her to get free
From the grip of the greedy
That have made her and her children so needy
What can i do to return Africa and humanity
Back to the upright position and sanity

    Peace and Blessings
