The Dark Continent just wailed out a cry...
Lost so many children who don't even know why
Grown too many skirmishes in the salient bush
Exploited mostly always whenever Euros took a look

Don't talk about my mother Africa...
On whose lap you have never been
Or seen a map of Eden inside zoo's lions den

Land of all creation still mourns her favorite sons
Dignity and daughters fading like the drums
Royalty dripping bloodlines filtered by the scourge
Missionary mission clippings let the famine merge

Mother Africa crys out that the meek should take the earth
Her pride still in abundance is 360 at it's girth
Take back those outrageous images ~
Insults and dubbings of her tonques...
Instead be crying for the masses that lie dying beneath her sun

Africa weeps... yes Africa weeps... then Africa weeps- it's true
Africa weeps for me as Africans weep for you

    I weeped for a nation...

I think of Africa and I cry... but no one weeped for "I"!

    Blessings On ya house!

    when Africa weeps
    i feel it deep
    deep down in my soul
    and i grow cold
    a world i've never known
yet it's familiar and its imprint has been sewn
    in2 my heart..
