Serious question if you were given the chance to relocate to Africa with the help of the government would you?

Just lately I have a strong drive and passion to sample life on the mother continent.

I believe I could live quite happily without some of the things we take for granted in the west eg electricity.

Chatting to a young lady from Ghana last week where she pointed out that they have black outs on a regular basis.

Despite that I wasn't put off by the idea of living there.

Now my main reasons for wanting out of Europe. Racism is at unprecedented levels in the UK. I have never known it to be so overt.

Yes the Islamic thing as given some cause for concern as well as mass immigration from Eastern Europe

However I don't feel comfortable like I use to.

So for me the answer would be yes I would jump at the chance but wonder if I am being naive.

One of my mates is locked up in Gambia for slating the president in public.

Clearly they in Gambia don't appreciate freedom of speech something we sometimes take for granted.

    Yeah...I would love to
but I don't because I would like to have something to offer beyond my person.
Coming from the West we have so much access to so much technology and wealth
It my dream that If I go there I will be able to do some business that is profitable that employs people whilst at the same time digs wells for potable water and aid in the development and marketing of local industry .

I have had that dream since the 1976

    You can.
I have done so as a youth growing a yard
But why should you ....unless for some spiritual reason.
Why not find ways to use local material to create electricity by wind water or solar or ox

    And you shouldn't be.

In Ghana you will encounter another kind of "ism" prejudice against foreigners not all Ghanaians practice this but some do

study the culture before you make the plunge and visit and live with the locals first

    Yep that's called culture shock.
You got to learn the culture and leave yours behind.....for awhile

Mugabe is persona non grata in the uk. Show any support and your labelled racist over here.

As we can't believe anything that's in the media it is hard to know whether he is good or bad.

We are often told Zimbabwe was the bread basket of Africa. That's no longer the case. However the real test will come when he passes by and a new leader is needed.
