Hey guys, been a while since I've been here. I have to apologize for just dropping links and not sticking around more for involved debates and dialogs. I'm always looking for interesting African media and independent media outlets. I pay special attention the media represent local people's social and economic concerns. It shows us what other Africans are doing throughout the diaspora and on the continent. So there's the rise of Nollywood, Ghana distributing land to diasporan Blacks under the Joseph project, etc.

This is an interesting clip talking about Kenyan hip hop artists, the underground scene there and the political / cultural dialog that goes on there:

Do you know about The Joseph Project? “The Joseph Project is part of an elaborate plan to establish Ghana as the homeland for Africans in the diaspora. The project takes its name from the story of the Biblical Joseph who was sold into slavery.”
