    Kwame Nkrumah wrote as introductory note to the new edition of Africa must Unite;
"The wave of military coups, and the stepping up of imperialist and neo-colonialist aggression in Africa since 1963, when Africa Must Unite" was first published, have proven conclusively the urgent need for political unification.
No singe part of Africa can be safe, or free to develop fully and independently, while any part remains unliberated, or while Africa's vast economic resources continue to be exploited by imperialist and neocolonialist interests.

France and Israel: Is Washington Outsourcing its Dirty Work in Africa? Africa is just one international front for an expanding system of empire. The mechanisms of a real global system of empire are at work in this regard. Washington is acting through NATO and its allies in Africa. Each one of Washington’s allies and satellites has a specific role to play in this global system of empire. Tel Aviv has played a very active role on the African continent. Israel was a major supporter of South Africa under the apartheid regime.

Tel Aviv also helped smuggle arms into Sudan and East Africa to balkanize that sizeable African nation while contributing to the destabilization of East Africa. The Israelis have been very active in Kenya and Uganda. Israel has been present wherever there were conflicts, including those pertaining to blood diamonds. Israel is now working with Washington to establish total hegemony over the African continent. Tel Aviv is actively involved -- through its business ties and intelligence operations -- in securing the contacts and agreements required by Washington for the extension of its interests in Africa. One of Washington’s major objectives is to disrupt the development of Chinese influence in Africa.

Israel and Israeli think-tanks have also played a major role in shaping the U.S. geo-stratagem in Africa. France, as a former colonial master and a declining power, on the other hand, has traditionally been a rival and competitor of Washington on the African continent. With the rise of the influence of non-traditional powers in Africa, such as the People’s Republic of China, both Washington and Paris envisaged ways of cooperating. On the broader global stage this is also evident. Both the U.S. and several of the major powers in the European Union consider China and other emerging global powers as a threat. They have decided to end their rivalries and work together.

Thus, a consensus between Washington and the E.U. unfolded, leading to some forms of political integration. This consensus may have also been manufactured by growing U.S. influence in E.U. capitals. Whatever the case, it has been boosted since the beginning of Nicolas Sarkozy’s presidency in 2007. President Sarkozy also wasted no time in pushing for the reintegration of the French military command structure within NATO. The consequence of this action has led to the surbodination of the French military to the Pentagon. In 1966, President Charles de Gaulle pulled French forces out of NATO and removed France from the military command structures of NATO as a means of maintaining French independence. Nicolas Sarkozy has reversed all of this. In 2009, Sarkozy ordered that France rejoin the integrated military command structure of NATO. In 2010, he also signed an accord to start amalgamating the British and French militaries. On the African continent, Paris has a special place or niche in the U.S. system of global empire. This role is that of a regional gendarme in North Africa, West Africa, Central Africa, and all the countries that were former French colonies. France’s special role, in other words, is due to its history and the existing, albeit declining, position of France in Africa, specifically through the “Françafrique.”

The Union of the Mediterranean, which Sarkozy officially launched, is one example of these French interests in North Africa. The National Endowment for Democracy (NED) has also been working through France’s International Federation of Human Rights (Fédération internationale des ligues des droits de l’Homme, FIDH). The FIDH is well established in Africa. The NED has essentially outsourced its work to manipulate and control African governments, movements, societies, and states to the FIDH. It was the FIDH and the affiliated Libyan League for Human Rights (LLHR) that helped orchestrate the various pretexts for the NATO war against Libya, endorsed by the United Nations Security Council through unsubstantiated and false claims.

The National Endowment for Democracy and its Partnersip with the International Federation of Human Rights in Africa Following the 2007 election of Nicolas Sarkozy as the leader of the French Republic, the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) started to develop a real partnership with the National Endowment for Democracy. Both organizations are also partners within the World Movement for Democracy. Carl Gershman, the president of the NED, even went to France in December 2009 to meet with the FIDH to deepen collaboration between the two organizations and to discuss Africa. [1] He also met individuals who are are considered as pro-Israeli lobbyists in France. http://www.globalresearch.ca/PrintArticle.php?articleId=26886

Report: US building secret drone bases in Africa
Effort is aimed against al-Qaida-linked groups in Somalia and Yemen, Post says
    msnbc.com

The United States is assembling a series of secret drone bases in the Horn of Africa and the Arabian Peninsula to launch an aggressive campaign against al-Qaida-linked groups in Somalia and Yemen, the Washingon Post reported Tuesday night.

The Post said the new bases are in Ethiopia, the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean and on the Arabian Peninsula. The military has also flown drones out of Djibouti, at the conjunction of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

In addition to using armed drones in Yemen and Somalia, the U.S. government has used them in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq.

Libya is the most recent country where the U.S. has used drones. Unarmed Predator drones flew surveillance missions to support the NATO mission against Moammar Gadhafi, officials have said.

The Post said the expansion of the drone program in the Arabian Peninsula reflected U.S. alarm over al-Qaida affiliates in Yemen and Somalia.

The United States began using drones launched from the Seychelles, an archipelago in the Indian Ocean, to track pirates off Somalia in 2009. But diplomatic cables revealed by WikiLeaks show that the unmanned aircraft has also been used for counterterrorism missions over Somalia, the Post reported.

The Post said that to get the Seychelles to agree to allow the original drone base, U.S. officials said they didn't plan to arm the drones. The cable show U.S. officials were thinking about just that.

Somalis Under Relentless Drone Attack as U.S. Tightens Military Grip on Continent
    A Black Agenda Radio commentary
    by Glen Ford

Scores of Somali civilians have been killed in U.S. drone attacks in the southern region of the country, as Washington tightens its military grip on much of the continent. The current offensive involves thousands of Kenyan troops that are threatening the major Somali city of Kismayo. The American drones are supporting the Kenyan invasion. The drones’ origins are officially secret, but it is known that the U.S. operates drone bases in Ethiopia and Djibouti, which is home to a huge American base.

For all practical purposes, the U.S. has made proxies of Ethiopia and the five member states of the East African Community: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi and Rwanda. The Ugandans and Burundians safeguard the airport that is the lifeline for Somalia’s puppet regime in Mogadishu, where the CIA operates a major facility. In September, the militaries of the East African Community held joint exercises with AFRICOM, the U.S. Africa Command.

Such exercises with American forces have become commonplace. The U.S. Defense Department is busily training the militaries of Mali, Chad, Niger, Benin, Botswana, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Ethiopia, Gabon, Zambia, Uganda, Senegal, Mozambique, Ghana, Malawi, and Mauretania. ECOWAS, the Economic Community of West African States, is considering asking the U.S. navy to help it out with its pirate problem. Most of the militaries of the African Union already communicate with American command-and-control equipment, requiring U.S. advisors. The overlapping entanglements have allowed the U.S. military to achieve deep penetration of the armed forces of most African nations.

In such a web of dependency, few standing African armies are capable of defending themselves – if the aggressor is the United States. But in most cases, the U.S. would likely get its way without a fight, since the officer class of so many African militaries have direct ties with their American counterparts. The U.S. has so thoroughly infiltrated African armies, many, if not most, would be of no use for national defense against the Americans.

The Americans are almost everywhere, but the French never left Africa. Although France and the U.S. were longtime rivals in Africa, waging proxy wars against each other through their African flunkies, their joint actions against Haiti and Libya, and in bringing down the government in the Ivory Coast, signal that the French and Americans are full partners in neocolonialism.

VOA, Radio Free Asia, and Radio Marti are all propaganda tools used by the CIA:

^taken for wiki page for "voice of america". Obviously this page has been censored and propagandized by the US government. The old page for "neocons" is also missing from wiki and has been replaced by a "neocon" friendly page.

Thank you for this truly superb post!

Doesn’t this total DISASTER in Libya which has cost 30 thousand lives highlight the fact that the so all pervasive onslaught/WAR being waged in every area of human activity for over 2000 years now on non-whites in general, the peoples of African ethnicity in particular far from being over is actually being ratcheted up, with Obama being President disguising a particularly vicious piece of White Supremacist Racism whereas wouldn’t a white President of the USA have received far more grief in similar circumstances?

This so despicably cowardly WAR by these so maliciously EVIL PARASITES wasn't EVER declared even before Slavery and hasn't been openly declared TODAY; has it, they JUST DO IT, as underlined by the recent so totally emasculating MURDER [we all knew it was coming but what could we do about it] on African soil of the Arab/African visionary Gaddafi in Libya?

Though the Asians [India and China whereas Japan evaded European colonialism] were militarily defeated in their homeland weren’t THEY fortunate in not having the heart of their continent ripped out by over 300 years of chattel slavery or the GENOCIDE that has totally eradicated the indigenous of Newfoundland, 80% of the Americas and Tasmania, while reducing Australia’s Aboriginals and New Zealand’s Maoris to a powerless swamped minority underclass in their homeland?

Aren’t ALL of the industrialized nuclear armed Asian countries intelligently organized and led by their own socio-economic elite and pragmatic Leaders acutely focused on both their short and long term best interests as [superbly illustrated by just how efficiently they’ve transformed the burden of feeding 2 billion peasants into the cutting edge of their ability to manufacture ANYTHING they choose to, cheaper than anyone else] opposed to the Boulé dominated AUTOMATONS [have YOU read Steven Cokely’s exposé] we’re STILL afflicted with whose only consistent legacy is treachery and betrayal, while filling their own pockets?

Isn’t it very distressing that WE are STILL not conscious of just how damaging it is to embrace non African ethnic clans religious icons as our own [where are the blue eyed teutonic blondes on the Crucifix’s worldwide in Palestine TODAY as opposed to 2000 years ago] with some even failing to see the relevance of the FACT that Yeshuah/Jesus was an African man and if he came back wouldn’t THEY just do to him what they did to Gaddafi?

Can you NOW relate to why the peoples of African ethnicity in general, in the USA and the rest of the Diaspora along with the Africans in Nigeria, South Africa and the rest of Africa in particular, NEED the so uplifting TRUTHS of an African centred History Curriculum as [opposed to the Eurocentric GARBAGE we’re still allowing ALL of our people to be poisoned with] the core of resurrecting both the individual and collective self esteem necessary to kick start the African Renaissance in the 21st century?

Isn’t it OUR responsibility to take full responsibility for intelligently programming ALL of our people as opposed to continuing to expect our diverse range of foreign enemies to do so?

Our own scholars have provided many constructive tools [have you read the Isis Papers by Dr Frances Cress-Welsing and the totally superb Yurugu – An African centred critique of European cultural thought and behavior by Dr Marimba Ani] whereas isn’t the big challenge of the 21st century either getting our so consistently clueless/inept socio-economic elite to pick up the ball and make the play for both our individual and collective advancement or construct a new one that will?
Isn't anyone who genuinely believes they are not programmed
graphically illustrating that their programming is COMPLETE?

NATO's Installation Of New Libyan Regime Signals Neocolonial Scramble For Africa

    By John Cherian

    Global Research, November 2, 2011

Frontline and Stop NATO - 2011-11-01

The neocolonial scramble for Africa has truly begun with the installation of the National Transitional Council in Libya.

President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda at a news conference in Kampala on October 16. He said the despatch of U.S. troops to deal with the rebel outfit Lord's Resistance Army was not meant for combat but rather liaison and support in the area of intelligence.

THE installation of the National Transitional Council (NTC) government in Libya by the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) could signal the beginning of an open neocolonial scramble for Africa. Suspicions about such a blueprint were first aroused when President George W. Bush set up the United States-Africa Command (AFRICOM) in 2008, months before demitting office. The demand for a permanent American military footprint on the African continent had come from right-wing think tanks that enjoyed great clout in the corridors of power during the eight years of the Bush presidency.

A background paper prepared in 2002 by the influential right-wing think tank Heritage Foundation had called for the creation of a military command for the continent so that “direct military intervention”, using air power and naval forces, could become possible to “protect vital U.S. interests” in Africa. Such interventions, its authors wrote, would not necessitate the deployment of U.S. forces on the ground. Such wars, the paper proposed, should be fought with the help of local allies. The U.S. Defence Department's African Contingency Operation Training and Assistance Programme is deeply involved in training the armies of many countries, including Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda and Ghana, America's close allies in the region.

The authors of the paper clearly spelt out what they meant by vital interests: “With its vast natural and mineral resources, Africa remains strategically important to the West, as it has been for hundreds of years, and its geostrategic significance is likely to rise in the 21st century.” According to the National Intelligence Council, “the United States is likely to draw 25 per cent of its oil from West Africa by 2015, surpassing the volume imported from the Persian Gulf”, the Heritage Foundation study reported. The Bush administration's Assistant Secretary of State for Africa Walter Kansteiner was quick to echo the views expressed by the foundation. He went on record stating that Africa's oil had “become a national strategic interest”.http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=27423

Isn't an Afro-centric History Curriculum strategically vital in our communities in the UK, USA and the rest of the Diaspora in general, Africa and in the already industrialized South Africa in particular, or won’t their children's knowledge base continue to be as polluted as Ours [ could YOU name 10 African monarchs I still struggle whereas I could name 30 European monarchs easily]?

Wouldn't you agree that the TRUTH is that we peoples of African ethnicity in the USA , the rest of the Diaspora and Africa are all frontline soldiers in a War that has NEVER EVER been openly declared then or now by THESE despicably cowardly Semetic/White PARASITES, just very very efficiently waged/they JUST DO IT?

Nubia/Khemet battled and resisted the Semitic hordes for millennia but from the moment Alexander the Macedonian peasant overran Khemet we've been losing this WAR, with the situation becoming a rout when Augustus [Julius Caesar's nephew, heir and history's greatest VANDAL] deliberately destroyed Khemet's most spectacular Pyramid at Abu Rawash, which you've never heard of, have YOU?

This so deliberate piece of cultural vandalism was done to DELETE DJEDEFRAH from history as this African Pharaoh is now acknowledged as the builder of the Sphinx which honours his father Khufu [who built the Great Pyramid at Giza]; and as exemplified by the murderous carnage in Darfur and the Congo TODAY, we're still in BIG trouble/losing this WAR, aren't WE?

Wishing this WAR away hasn't worked for the African collective in the USA, the rest of the Diaspora and Africa for the last 500 years because Slavery and Colonialism didn't so much end as evolve into the current reality of White/European socio-economic domination in every area of human activity so why are WE expecting the chaos in our communities and countries to improve in the near future?

Are you denying that the main reason we're still the "VICTIMS" as highlighted by the HOLOCAUST of the last 500 years is the FACT that we have not organized our communities and countries with intelligence and foresight comparable to the other ethnic clans, with most of our so inept leaders not even acknowledging that this WAR is on?

What chance do we stand when our Boulé dominated socio-economic elite [they're organization is 106 years old this year have you read Steven Cokely's expose ] in the USA are completely under the control of our enemies of over 500 years now?

Wouldn't you concede that in a World dominated by intelligently led collectives any group not organized with comparable intelligence is a "Victim in Waiting" who wont have to wait long; and as highlighted by the GRIEF in Iraq and Afghanistan and Libya which will be extended soon to Iran and then Syria; even when you do there is no guarantee you wont be BULLIED [especially if you're in possession of massive mineral wealth] ?

Why haven't the USA and the West punished China 's annexation of Tibet in the 60's like they did Sadamm's of Kuwait or Gaddafi's alleged onslaught on the "Rebels" the West have used to KILL him? The answer is simple, they cannot bully an industrialized nuclear armed country with a 3 million man army that could be boosted by conscripts to 10 million with minimal effort?

Even more bizarre is our acceptance of the current status quo isn't it, or are YOU truly unaware of the fact that ALL over the World including Africa Europeans still LEGALLY own allegedly; all the land and resources they acquired during the looting, pillaging, RAPE of this planet in general, of OUR continent in particular that Colonialism and Apartheid sanctioned as the norm as opposed to the longest list of unacknowledged unpunished Human Rights violations/CRIMES in human history?

Isn’t anyone who genuinely believes they are not programmed
graphically illustrating that their programming is COMPLETE?
