Is it ok to date, be involved, have sexual relations with other people while you're married although you're going through a divorce? Is it still adultery even though you're going through a divorce and you two are no longer living together?

LEGALLY speaking, one should check to see if his/her State has laws against adultery.....Presently about 23 States DO have misdemeanor laws against adultery with accompanying fines.

In some States, both parties of the "adultery" can be charged, no matter if both are married or one married and the other single.

In matters of divorce, in some States, even if the adultery takes place during a "separation," the "offended" spouse (WITH EMPIRICAL PROOF) can seek immediate divorce citing "adultery" as the grounds.

IN THE MILITARY, adultery is a criminal offense that may or may not be prosecuted, according to the circumstances, under the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice).

I believe a person should have sex with their spouse, their husband or their wife. Anything other than that is sin. You are asking the question....Do you think it is OK.:(

I don't care for it but a lot of people do it these days and their first thing is "Well I don't talk to her, let alone live with her and even so both parties (spouses) are seeing someone else since they both have a mutual understanding that it's over between the two of them"

Well, I know what the Bible says about adultery; but I specified "LEGALLY-speaking" because legit-writer asked, "Is it OK?"

So, I just stuck to the "legal" aspects of adultery because, the MORALITY of adultery in the Bible is tied to the LEGAL laws against it in many States.

So, in the States which do have laws against adultery, it CAN be charged, prosecuted, and fined against the offending spouse.

Yes, depending on the circumstances, adultery can be prosecuted in the military and have adverse effects on the service record of the offending military member. ---- And I specify "circumstances" because the military does have defining "conditions" of adultery in order to prosecute.

Unless that "mutual understanding" is in writing, witnessed and notarized, one spouse could still use "adultery" as a grounds for divorce if they can prove the adultery of the other spouse.

    ....."legally-speaking," that is.
