I really thought that I was going to be down in the dumps
But every since you're no longer in my life
A far way did I jump
A nice home, nice car and now a new job
    I've been truly blessed
I found it to be a hard pill to swallow
    That you up and left
    It's only made me stronger
You've done me a huge favor
My feelings about men hasn't changed
My belief that there is better hasn't wavered
    I'm doing better in school
My life is on a roll
While I'm in a much better place
You're still under your family's control
I love it how life hands me lemons
    And I effortlessly make lemonade
    My life is about locomotion
Yours is about staying in one place
    I didn't even realize that
You were only dragging me down
The only reason you're not in my life
Is because I stood my ground
I made it clear I don't allow laziness and no motivation
Then it began to dawn on me
    You have no education
    You have no true backbone
Yet you carry this ridiculous pride
When the truth of the matter is My success has been killing you inside
    You're at a constant standstill
No way to move on up
The thought of you starting your own life
Has caused your mind to corrupt
You're used to be being spoonfed
And hard work is what you hate
The minute I tell you to stand on your own
I knew me and you were like night and day
    You are ketchup
    I am tomatoes
    You are french fries
    And I am baked potatoes
    You are jelly
    I am grapes
    I am real
    And you are fake
I've had a hard working life
All yours, you've been a sloucher
I thank God every single day
    For your mind-blowing departure!

    I am who I am
    You knew that going in
Didn’t pretend to be no sugar daddy
Didn’t promise to change my sins
I’m glad your life is better
Never wanted bad things to befall you
Even when you judged my stagnant ways
    My heart always remained true
    Congratulations on that new home
    The job
    And the car
I knew when I met you you’d succeed
And your life was bound to go far
But hating on me is beneath you
Get your mind off the past and push on
Cherish the laughs and memories we shared
And let all the negative be gone

REFLECTION often strengthen our resolve. SOMETIMES, it tears us down...as we wrestle with our failures. DON'T allow it to do the latter...to you.
