I don't know where this happens most, but given it is such a hidden awfulness, it will probably be difficult to pinpoint such exactly. I was privy to a conversation recently regarding a young black american male doing the same. The young man talked about how he was paid big bucks for the videos, suggesting that is why he did it. That is how this dude (Adam Britton) got caught, posting the videos online.

Very sad no matter where, who, or why.
