Acts 13 is typologically linked to Hesiod’s and homer’s tales of Cronos castration of his father and the creation of Paphos-Venus by the wave-washed foam.

    By Andre Austin

13 1 Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch) and Saul. 2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” 3 So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.

[Joe Atwill thinks that “The story of Paul’s castration is black comedy and is given in Acts 13:1-9” see Shakespeare’s Secret Messiah p.352] The Placing of hands is a common phrase associated with castration see Isaiah 39: 5-8, Matthew 18: 2-8, and Matthew 19:11-14)

On to Paphos, Cyprus where Venus (aka Lucifer) was born by a cut off penis

4 The two of them, sent on their way by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia and sailed from there to Cyprus. 5 When they arrived at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the Jewish synagogues. John was with them as their helper.

6 They traveled through the whole island until they came to Paphos. There they met a Jewish sorcerer and false prophet named Bar-Jesus,7 who was an attendant of the proconsul, Sergius Paulus. The proconsul, an intelligent man, sent for Barnabas and Saul because he wanted to hear the word of God. 8 But Elymas (or Elymas Bar (son)-Jesus) the sorcerer (for that is what his name means) opposed them and tried to turn the proconsul from the faith. 9 Then Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked straight at Elymas and said, 10 You are a child of the devil and an enemy of everything that is right! You are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery. Will you never stop perverting the right ways of the Lord?11 Now the hand of the Lord is against you. You are going to be blind for a time, not even able to see the light of the sun.”

Immediately mist and darkness came over him, and he groped about, seeking someone to lead him by the hand. 12 When the proconsul saw what had happened, he believed, for he was amazed at the teaching about the Lord.

One of the methods to understanding the Bible is to known that characters in the Bible were being assigned or playing the part of the roles of mythological characters. Paul was in part a composite figure of several persons of fiction and non-fiction.

For Paul to be a parody of Hesiod’s myth of Cronos castrating his father and throwing the penis into the sea-foam that impregnates Aprodite (Venus). Then we must find Paul private parts being mutilated by Cronos which I do think we can find in Philippians 3:2 “watch out for those dogs, those men who do evil, those mutilators of the flesh”. In Egypt the Dog-Anubis was known as the mutilator of human flesh that was buried in graves until the Egyptians reversed its role into its protector. The Greeks referred to Hermes, as the God Anubis. Scholarly speculation that Hermes derives from a more primitive form meaning “One cairn”. Cairn is a heap of stones piled up as a memorial and to protect the human body from being dug up by dogs and eat and mutilate the carrion of dead flesh. Plutarch who wrote Isis & Osiris states that “some are of the opinion that Anubis is Cronus”. With that we have a match and link with the Dog-Anubis-Cronus with castration of Paul. So the man who did the deed or had the deed done to Paul was Emperor Domitian the Terrible spirit who wore the mask of Anubis.

Also the punishment in Acts 13 of blinding of light is a similar punishment in the poem of Hesiod’s Theogony a God called Night bring Affliction and painful misery.

After Paul’s castration he has a spiritually son by the holy spirit, truth/faith (Amen) by the name of Titus Flavius (blonde) Clemens, (see Titus 1:4), which equals 666 in his Greek name. 666 is linked with Venus.

With Paul playing the role of Hermes (Acts 14:12) it follows in Homer’ Odyssey 8:355-360:

“Hermes, son of Zeus, guide and giver of good things, tell me would you, caught tight, in these strong fastenings, be willing to sleep in bed by the side of Aphrodite (Venus), the golden?

So if we follow the mythology it would appear the mother of Pope Clemens (clement) is spiritually Venus along with Emperor Titus who claimed descent from her.

There are plenty of other indication that Paul was set up as a type of Hermes:

    1. Homer & Hesiod described Hermes as excellent in all the tricks, gift of lies, seductive words that outwit other Gods for the sake of humankind. This fits Paul who brings in those by deceit and tricks see 2 Cor 12:16.

    2. In Egypt Hermes was called Thoth who was able to judge and write names into the Book of life. Paul has this same ability of Knowing that Clement (Clemens) is in the book of life (Philippians 4:3).

    3. Aesop has Hermes as ruler of the gate of prophetic dreams. Paul’s dreams he calls visions and conversations with God/Jesus in Acts 9. Robert Eisenman the author of James the brother of Jesus & the Dead Sea Scrolls Volume 1 p.55 states: “Paul was obviously being mocked by some as the man of dreams, lies or Lying”. And I believe the Letter of Jude was in part a rebuke of Paul who disputed about the body (corpus juris) of law of Moses and pollute their own bodies by Dreams. Jude also made Paul a unreasoning/not understanding Donkey a wolf (tribe of Benjamin) in Shepherds clothes uprooted (penis) and wild in the waves foaming up in the sea, wandering star (Venus-Lucifer). See my other essays for more info on this. Recall in mythology Hermes is a patron of Herdsmen. Paul attempts to reverse the charge by saying some are wolves in sheep clothes.

    4. Aeschylus has Hermes use false identity. Recall the famous quote of Paul that he becomes all things to all men see (1 Cor 9:22-23)
