He has the nerve to say he count on Obama to not going say something stupid, "a black person that's not going to embarrass you." This coming from from a guy who has an animated show with black characters spouting the N word at LEAST 20 times an episode, not to mention an episode bringing MLK back from the dead and having him saying it. It's sickening to see black people wear the word like it's a badge of courage, something to be proud of. It incenses me to hear people like Russel Simmons say stuff like "it's our word, can't black people own something?" Enough already with this.

I also can't believe this forum won't allow me to post the embed link.

Boondocks Season 1, this episode is a metaphor for the war in Iraq...even the cashier looks like Saddam, and check out the 'W' pendant on Ed's neck... Mcgruder is a genius.

    X-box killer is bin laden:em0200:

    Security guard is UN..lol.

That kid is delusional at best. MLK viewed as a traitor? I'm glad I stopped watching that stupid show and I can't believe black people support it.

Unfortunately, there were black people who thought MLK was a traitor back when he was alive. I hate to say it, but our society tends to tear people apart when they're alive, but honor and appreciate them after they're dead.

I don't agree with everything McGruder said, but he does raise an interesting point. If MLK was still alive fighting for civil rights issues today in 2010, would we still have the same respect for him that we do now? Think about it, most of the civil rights and / or black leaders in our community (ie: Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, NAACP, etc.) have been labeled as out of touch, opportunists out for their own self promotion, and get very little respect, not just by white people but by many of us. What makes you think black people would think of MLK any differently if he were alive today, seeing as our people and society as a whole have become so cynical (and political) about everything?
