    A wolf made of miles...
    bends its neck
    head cocking
    hind leg to forepaw
    the belly finds the dust
    fidgeting me...

    ...parroting me

    taunting me...

    certain of the power
    it holds
    in sandy inches
dripping leagues of underbrush;ribs of mountain
say...."you can't touch her from here"..
.it bays my slavery to the silver
    nighttime sun,
lilt of loneliness; fog cutting cries
    choke
    broken over new soliloquies
every evening time bends to stretch
    the miles into
    immortal seconds,
    time and space ?
    "someday" they promise,
    "you will forget her"
    forging false stillettos
    calico landscape flat and taxed
    stabs me in the parts
    that bleed faith
    from my
    acts and our genesis
    is dying from neglect
    chained to the pacific coast
    I boast a boiling sea...
    a ground breaking...
    a fire making its way
    this way....

    A wolf made of miles...

    A wolf made of miles...
stalks me from Adams and Fairfax to
    Figueroa in Pomona
I reach Long Beach panting on the fringes
    of those passing
    asking for
    quarters of my shame
    breathing hard I'm seeking God
in all of this..is this your finall call
    for questions in armegeddic
    forming fists
to shake at the dying sky and
    everyone's high..
    but me,
    last year
    I died so this year
    I'm free...
    beside the fact
    I'm attached to the way
    the waves seem
    to wanna take me away
    and my odd attraction to
    wee hour
    gunplay; something about that
    coughing echo
    in the distance
    eats at my
    resistance remembering
    the feel of heavy steel
    upon the flesh
    of my palm
    these are the psalms
    of this David
    escaping across these pages
    picked from the storm
    its wicked this wick
    that burns from both ends
    between every single
    one of
    my
    shady *** sins
    I make my amends
    in the way I blink
    then think
    in indian ink
    graffiti...

    A wolf made of miles
    A
    Wolf

    made
    of miles

    stalks me.

    I'm still movin...

    on a continuous journey

THERE IS A "POET" IN THE HOUSE....

    Oh my GYPSYMAN...

    I'm truly in Awe...

I love the biblical metaphors and imagery
of how torturous time and distance can
be in separation of something you once
    held so dear...also...

"My candle burns at both ends".. "Classic"...

There were so many elements within this piece that
touch remnants of past lives within me...I could go
on for days...just know this piece turned into
    a reflection...as I read "aloud"

    Bravo....Bravo...&...Encore :spinstar:
