Had to get out of here
had to just walk it out
and I felt the cool breeze
on my face, without a doubt
it felt heavenly, reminding me
that I was still alive
that I still matter, so I kept on
walkin in the windy nite to revive
the child inside, and I did.
I smiled at that full moon
and I think it smiled back
probably realizing that soon
my walk would be over, and
recognizing that I am a special part
of the universe too. Then I inhaled
deeply to refresh my childish heart,
continued to look up, and saw
the fluffiest patch of clouds, wow,
in the dead of nite, they were as
clear as day, perplexing.... Anyhow,
approaching headlights suddenly
reminded me of what galaxy I
actually existed in, and the inner
child returned home, wondering why she
just couldn't stay out a little longer.
But the streetlights had been on for
a while, another nite I'll release her
again and we'll walk around some more.
Had to get out of here,
and I did....
