the near north
I await the day…when I can say:

I was cold
You gave me heat
…of your heat

Made me complete

When I did thirst
For the soothing nectar
Of your womanly core

You allowed me to drink

When I hungered
For nourishment
Only you could give

You allowed me to feed {on you}

Is it make-believe
A fantasy
That spun these…these
Unsatisfied wishes
Of unnatural kisses
Heaped upon one set of lips
From another
Then the others

{sigh}

I know well the heart of thee
I can see
A gentle soul
Of which the whole
Protects

Will you be there for me?

In my darkest hour
As well as my most triumphant
Moment

Will you love me
Hold…and caress me
Bless me
With the fruitage of your heart

Will you take me to paradise
…Show me what lies beyond
The river of contentment

‘til we’re spent

Will you…
Make me a man?
