    Peace and Blessings Family,

This is a thread to talk about your own self.

Your posts can only talk about you ... no one else.

We spend so much time talking about others ... i thought it would be fun to see if we could turn the tide.

So this is the challenge ... only post stuff about your own self ... good, bad, or ugly ... your own choice.

    This Should Be Fun! ... :D ... okay ... i'm think'n what i can say about me ...

Anyone is welcome to go ahead and start ... post as much / many times as you'd like ... QQ

    I Love Us! :grouphug:

Looking forward to you sharing about your own self ... taking a few moments out ... to not talk about others.

    Thanks in advance.

    Rambling about myself..............

    Okay here I go,

I'm a mother of a beautiful 7 year old girl who is my day and night and the reason that I wake up every morning and thank God that I am alive.

I'm an only child who is a tad bit spoiled, but I like to call it being extremely blessed.

I love spending time with my family, especially my mom and dad...Cause I think they are just the ish....

I was born and raised in Washington State and hate it here with a passion, but can't seem to leave place.

When I was younger I was a bit of a trouble maker, in and out of detention for fighting. Constantly kicked out of school for fighting....I fought a lot...A a lot of what I've gone through has brought me to where I am now and my passion for working with youth...

I can be the nicest person you meet or the biggest B you'll ever meet...It all depends on the person.

In person, I'm VERY out-going, sarcastic, and some people say I'm a bit loud...I'm really goofy and love to crack jokes to make people laugh.

Right now I'm also going to school full-time for Computer Information Systems.

    Let's see....

I'm a huge sucker for men...Kind of a hopeless romantic...Some days though, I think I'm gonna end up like one of the chicks off of "Waiting to Exhale"...

I love to write short stories...and one day hope to have some books publish and possibly writing a children's book.

I love taking photography and do some graphic designing on the side.

    And..................I'm sure there's more...But I'll let someone else share

I am in love with the written word...reading it, writing poetry, writing short stories, and am an aspiring writer.

I love music. (DUH, right?!) lol

    I love history.

    I love art.

I am a former educator (may go back).

I love sunsets. (not a morning person, so I don't do sunrises) lol

I would love to write a book. I hope I do one day.

I'm enjoying making videos, so surpised at that, even though i'm way behind on doing them.

I wish I had a college education, and am impressed with those that do. Maybe i can do this too, one day.

I'm sure I'll think of more to share.

From the time I was 23, I taught martial arts, for free to the neighborhod children and teens
in Brownsville NY for a period of 8 years, while living there.
In that time I painted and sold over 400 Rastafarian paintings, 20x30 oils and acrylic.

For 7 years I worked as a graphic artist and illustrator for the then Career Education Unit, under Brother George Quarles, then head of the Occupational Education Unit of the then NYC Board of Education.
I was responsible for the design of work books, displays, brochures, and AV of various seminars and events.
Out of those 3 I worked closely with some of the top Black JHS VPs in the Bed Stuy area of Brookyn and worked on several dispays for Black History month, with posters of Black Inventors, as well as a career mural in Jefferson High School Lobby.
I worked on the style and focus along with the educational adminstrators, on the copy and image of the

work book manual produced totaly in house of the 4 volume set of
"of employablity skills information for high school students.

I worked with the Crown Heights Savings and Loan, at their inception, handing out press releases about the black owned and operated credit union, to all of the major black organizations and leadership at the time.

I purchase books and dvds constantly and hand them out to the teens and twenties in the community and have done so for years, as well as seeking out what ever job applications, training programs, are available to the youth and unemployed as well as,
apprentice ship apps, for trade unions.

    Hi, I'm SophiaG.

I'm a college student, majoring in psychology, work at a local social services center. Am fluent in ASL.

My main focus right now is getting through college. Education is so important to me.

My main hobby seems to be wandering around to different forums online, learning whatever I can from the people I encounter. People have lots of wisdom and perspectives to share and although I may not agree with every opinion held, it opens me up to the variety of how people think and feel. I love that.

I also love literature, philosophy, learning about computer stuff...

    The end for now.

I loved reading these brief autobiographies. Kinda think I get to know some here on a more personal level.

Im a married father of 2. One of 7 children. Grew up in Dyckman Projects in Manhattan (Inwood), and the East Tremont section of the Bronx. Growing up poor and troubled at times, my young days was still fun and educational. Loved hanging out with the older generation, (African griots, thugs, poets, pimps, Hindu mystics, convicts and spiritualists)...gleaning knowledge which still influences me today.

    Currently living in Philadelphia.

Musician, practioner of Zen, Combat Hapkido and Aikido. Licensed Certified Social Worker and Addictions Counselor. Currently involved with the Uhuru Movement, an offshoot of the African Peoples Socialist Party, ASI International.

Currently composing and working with Sandra "Ikere" Sampson on the score for her first independent film, "Star Drifter." Doing a summer internship and volunteering at various agencies to assist those who struggle in this economy.

Outside that, I just chill with the family, n the fellas. (Was gonna say my n*****, but it just wouldnt look right here)

This is so nice....(passing the mic)
