I never thought while going through all that I did
I would be able to feel happy again.
Felt doomed to isolation deep inside myself
To lock out all feelings until all wounds healed.
I never thought that one day I would happen
Upon a pearl in an oyster.
Finding you was serendipity in the flesh
Knowing you for a life time as a fixture,
A painting I would pass and sometimes admire.
And that one day the connection made that this
was more than beautiful art, that you were more
than the Mona Lisa on display you were
My remedy
My muse
My cause to breath
IN
OUT
and look forward to another day.
So thank you for filling my lungs with air
My heart with love ,
and my arms with you.
