We met as the moonlight began its dominance of the sky
Our greeting almost speechless
Our interest spoken by the look in our eyes

Two bodies searching for mates in the night
Two hearts longing for love that doesn’t have to be right
The need for each other was confirmed on sight

The atmosphere uneasy finding appropriate words to say
Such is the atmosphere of strangers seeking intimacy
Can it really be any other way?

Not knowing each other’s demons or baggage from the past
A stranger’s love is uninhibited, beautifully new, excitingly fast
Yet, a stranger’s love is never meant to last

Perhaps it is less than a passing affair
When done, its meaning quickly put aside
But so pleasingly raw is the physical honesty
A stranger’s love is sure to provide
