(wiping the tears)
many years ago, a seed
was planted, fed, nurtured,
loved and prepared for
its entry into this world;

this seed was released
and still loved, nurtured,
fed and prepared for its
journey through this world;

a season came when this seed,
still loved, nurtured, prepared
and fed was removed from the one
whom planted it in this world;

four seasons later, this seed,
unfed, unloved, unnurtured,
unprepared for this world
searched for the planter;

the one whom PLANTED the seed
still loved, wanted to nurture,
wished to feed, ready to prepare
its seed for this world;

today, the one who planted
the seed saw the seed he fed,
nurtured, loved, prepared for
the world only to hear her say,
"Daddy, i still love you..."
