    salvation
    army clothes-es
    disappearing
    into
    government
    houses-es
    witness
    the
    protection
    of God
    and country
    sins-es
    intolerance
    on faces
    aged old

    these men...

    held hostages
    in welfare state
    towns-es
    lost battles
    drug
    alcohol
    abuses-es
    stories
    too shocking
    to be
    re-told

    these men...

    passing time
    playing
    chess pieces-es
    fighting fight
    for love
    of countries-es

    vietnam legacies
    never
    ceizes-es

    these men...

    without
    a home

    Hunter..thanks for this piece..so sad but so true..they leave as heroes and return as broken men..casualties of war..and then they are forgotten...
