The Gump (Montgomery, AL)
I have a quiet place to rest for you
A place that nourishes the infant mind
Where soft hills of silky lavender soothe the savage soul
Come sit in the valley of my lily fields
And nestle yourself amongst the giving trees
Trees where the fruit is not forbidden
but tantalizingly teasing to the natural suckling reflex of a child
Where the most erotic of dreams run wild
With the hope of erecting skyscrapers of nourishment and pleasure.
Lay your dreams within the lap of my heart
And listen to the rhythmic song of life beat wildly
within my mountainous caves of desire
and hum your own tune of ecstasy within the safety of my net.
Better yet, be silent and let love’s melody rock you
until sleep befalls you like night on the afternoon sun.
Rest in my treasure chest of wishes that only you can fulfill.
Dreams that only you can enter, desires that are only inspired by you.
Rest in my bosom and find
Peace.
