There is some disagrement, confusion and out right denial of just when the African ancestors were first brought to this country by European Slave Traders. The Physical Anthropology has recently proven beyond a shadow of a doupt...that "Slavery" was started "Right-Away"...meaning as early as 1555,...if not before. In order for the Spanish word (word for black) "Negro" to be their (European) first name that still is with us...it is clear that the Iberian or Spanish Portugese (Note: during this time in history...Jew and Portugese were one in the same) are the ones we have to thank or curse for play-ing their part in the distruction of the African people...as they are the first to bring us from Africa into Slavery in America.

It "Must" be understood that Africans were here long before Europeans came to so-called north and south Americas etc. http://www.rense.com/general43/before.htm
As well as slavery in the Northern states (New York etc.) as well as the southern states. http://www.inthesetimes.com/site/main/article/2457/
