    Originators of my blood
    Hear my words
    Feel my vibe
In the blessed darkness of Africa
And the Great Plains of the Cherokee Tribe

    I stand before you
    A son of many sons
Deep in my soul your spirit reigns
Proud that your blood runs through my veins

    Be with me this day
    Make my body strong
    My eyes sharp and clear
    Make my heart worthy
    Of all you hold dear

    Let me hear your chants
    The rhythms of the drum
    Move me each and everyday
    Absorbing your power
    Let us move as one

Hear me ancestors known and unknown
    Wherever you may be
Hear the sincerity of my plea
    Before I face the world
    Before my day can begin
My words float humbly to you
    A prayer in the wind

I believe your prayer has already been answered...through your understanding of what makes you who you are..
