    A Port in the Storm

In this reign of white supremacy
Some will choose any port in the storm
Thinking they’ll be spared the wrath of all,
All this hell thats breaking loose.
    Earth, wind, fire and water
    North, South, East and West
    Hurricanes, typhoons, tsunamies, earthquakes,
    Volcanoes, tornadoes, floods and mudslides.
Prairie fires, forest fires, lightening fires, hell-fires,
Tidal waves, downpours, blizzards and droughts.
Heat waves, cold waves, polluted water and air
Bird flu, sick beef, bad food, drugs too.
They tried to get away in space
    Billions, billions, such a waste
Earth is still the human base
Cant find a refuge any place.
Cant stop, cant stop, cant stop this pain
How long can this white supremacy reign?
This world so cold was once so warm
We seek some respite from this storm.
Our souls are adrift like castaways
    Reaching back desparate for past-aways
Trying to get far from the bastard ways
Trying to disconnect from the masters ways
I’m just seeking some port in this storm
And a suitable mate in complementary form
Together we might find a little sunshine’s light
And see the end of this storm in sight.

Too bad I missed this being read aloud. So lyrically on point, and the message, no, we sure can't physically get away from this chaos. I'd imagine it would be difficult for someone with your qualities to find a complement, but your port in the storm is out there, somewhere I'm sure.

I too, have been through the Rain, Storms and Flu
surpassed it all...and still seen you

We're no doubt the strongest ones to walk this earth
cause we ain't even been moved by their curse

All you have spoke on, have put some of us under...
but don't count me out...I roll with the thunder

Which is why I do what I do with a Gladness
    cause
I know there's a light at the end of this Maddness

Awesome piece poet, truely awesome, thanks
