When I think about an everlasting love
The one like I never had
It is a fad to think about hearts
The kind that stay together
Weather through the storm and the norm
Of falling apart
When i start to fall for the man
Who I wish will catch me
Will he truely be free from the other lover
Or will i one day discover
Undercover
Behind closed doors
Hide a way
Hang outs
under spots
and talk abouts
She
Meaning me
Don't mean nothing to you
Meaning another no good
Robbing heart hood
Stealing my love
Not that this is what he is thinking of'
When I try to commit
To some intimates of
One plus One
The sum is always more than three
You
Me
Her and she
Maybe that works for others
But I need one lover
For me to believe
I'm worthy of all of his portions
Ain't I enough?
Ain't I enough?
Ain't I....?
Or is the prize only given
To the baby's mama
For best series
In an ongoing drama
Pretending way past that
She pretending to be over you
Everybody
Including both of y'all
Knowing that ain't true
'Cept you can't see through
garnished checks
arguements
so-called drunken mistakes
That make more little men and women
To raise themselves
From the hell raised beteween y'all
All the while
You askin' me
To stall you out
When I talk about
Spending some time
Instead of wasting mine
See, me
I ain't trying' to be
A causualty
In your war
The love you had before
Still fighting it
'Cause you can't come to grip
About love that neverends
Way back whens
and
"She just my friend...."

When I think
About an everlasting love
The kind I dream of
The kind I never had
I close my eyes
And then I.....
WAKE UP!
