    Yea, the works of write.
And what doeth they giveth me?
    Pennies for my lines?

    Lines that go unpaid...
And yet I keep on writing,
    Lest my soul dies poor.

    Monetary gains
    are scarce for poetic scribes
    pockets collect lint

    Payment is gained thru
our efforts, and from those who
    are touched by our words
